Who’s Rona?

I grew up in Oregon and graduated from MIT in 2023 with degrees in mathematics and computer science. Today, I work as a compiler engineer at a large tech company in the San Francisco Bay Area. I’m so lucky to get a front-row seat to everything wild, weird, and wonderful happening right now in Silicon Valley, and I want to bring you along for the ride.

On Twitter/X, I’ve built an audience of 30,000+ followers, and my posts have received hundreds of millions of views and been featured in national news outlets, textbooks, and school syllabi.

In November 2025, my debut novel inspired by the things I see on the Internet was published by Simon & Schuster. I look forward to documenting more stories, essays, and experiments that explore the ways technology and culture influence matters of the human heart.
