  • Viral Tweet: AI Photo

    In 2023, I discovered a curious phenomenon; an AI image generator made my photo look more Caucasian when I prompted it to “make me professional.” This post got over 100,000 likes on Twitter and was featured in the Boston Globe, Wall Street Journal, NPR, BBC News, and other news outlets. It has been cited in multiple textbooks, academic talks, and school syllabi.

  • All About Compilers

    In August, after many months of job hunting, I finally started a new role in the San Francisco Bay Area as a compiler engineer. On popular demand I penned a Substack post on how I landed the job. It got over a million impressions on Twitter and was voted to #3 on HackerNews!

    While searching for grad school housing--I did one semester of a fifth-year master’s at MIT before leaving for San Francisco--I wrote a humor piece about the process for McSweeney’s Internet Tendency.
